Press-ganged into a frateris militia during the Promethean War, Eliphas and the thousands of other devoted fanatics he was grouped with followed behind the spearhead of the Sororitas and Salamanders against the Black Legion’s forces. Rose swiftly to a command level position as a result of his former PDF training. Established a reputation for charismatic leadership, preferring to lead from the front.

Suffered grievous burns after getting trapped in a firestorm created by the Sororitas Immolators.
Barely survived, tried to crawl back to Imperial lines, but was collected by an Alpha Legion infiltraitor of the Black Legion. Restored to health by the marines’ servants and mentally conditioned to pervert his religious beliefs, Eliphas began to see the Imperium’s vast size and worship of the Emperor as a deity as a liability, comparing it to a forest choked with deadwood, strangling itself under its own ponderous weight. With only a little further nudging from his savior, he came to believe that within him burned the spark of hatred that would ignite a blaze to save humanity from itself.

Since then, has been tentatively linked to a number of uprisings on several worlds, though no Inquisitorial assets have detected his presence in several years.
